Tutoring in Westport, because your child counts
Westport and Buller families use Impact Tutoring for weekly one-on-one lessons online: maths, English and NCEA subjects with a tutor matched to your child, no matter how far up the Coast you live.
Built around Westport students
Buller High School and the town's primaries, Westport North and South among them, serve a district where the nearest tutoring centre has always been a mountain pass away. From Karamea to Reefton, online 1:1 is the first time Buller students have had real access to weekly individual tutoring at all.
Every student starts with a relaxed phone call so we understand what is going on at school, then we match them with the right tutor. Juniors can begin with a full numeracy and literacy assessment so lessons target the real gaps from day one.
How online lessons work
- One-on-one, live with your child's own matched tutor
- Same tutor, same day and time, every week
- Built around their school programme, from Year 1 to NCEA Level 3 and adult learning
- Plain-English progress updates for parents
What it costs
One-hour weekly lessons, online 1:1: from $58 for juniors through to $70 for adult learners. A full junior assessment is $249. No lock-in contracts, ever.
No Hub in Westport yet. Maybe that is you.
Impact Hubs are locally owned by people who know their community and their schools. Westport is exactly the kind of place we would love to see one. If you are an educator who has thought about running your own tutoring business, we should talk.
Westport tutoring questions, answered
Is there a tutoring centre in Westport?
No, and there never has been. Impact serves Westport and wider Buller online, one-on-one with the same tutor every week.
Does online tutoring work on West Coast internet?
A video lesson needs a stable connection, not a fast one. Most Coast broadband and good 4G handles it fine, and we will test your connection with you before you commit to anything.
Do you run maths classes in Westport?
One-on-one maths lessons online rather than classes. If you have been searching for maths classes in Westport, this is the individual version.
What does it cost?
One-hour weekly lessons from $58 (junior) to $70 (adult), online 1:1. A junior assessment is $249. No lock-in contracts.
