Tutoring in Alexandra, because your child counts
Alexandra families use Impact Tutoring for one-on-one online lessons in maths, English and NCEA subjects, with the same matched tutor every week, anywhere in Central Otago.
Built around Alexandra students
Dunstan High School anchors secondary schooling for Alexandra, Clyde and the surrounding valleys, with The Terrace, Alexandra Primary and St Gerard's below it. Central's distances make centre-based tutoring impractical, so the real choice has been a patchwork of private tutors or nothing. Impact replaces the patchwork with a structured weekly 1:1 lesson and a tutor who stays.
Every student starts with a relaxed phone call so we understand what is going on at school, then we match them with the right tutor. Juniors can begin with a full numeracy and literacy assessment so lessons target the real gaps from day one.
How online lessons work
- One-on-one, live with your child's own matched tutor
- Same tutor, same day and time, every week
- Built around their school programme, from Year 1 to NCEA Level 3 and adult learning
- Plain-English progress updates for parents
What it costs
One-hour weekly lessons, online 1:1: from $58 for juniors through to $70 for adult learners. A full junior assessment is $249. No lock-in contracts, ever.
No Hub in Alexandra yet. Maybe that is you.
Impact Hubs are locally owned by people who know their community and their schools. Alexandra is exactly the kind of place we would love to see one. If you are an educator who has thought about running your own tutoring business, we should talk.
