Tutoring in Gore, because your child counts
Gore families use Impact Tutoring for one-on-one online lessons in maths, English and NCEA subjects. Same matched tutor every week, whether you are in town or on a farm out toward Mataura or Waikaka.
Built around Gore students
Māruawai College and St Peter's College anchor secondary schooling in Gore, with a ring of solid country primaries around them. There has never been a tutoring centre here, and Invercargill is an hour away. Online 1:1 means Eastern Southland students finally get the same weekly, individual help city kids take for granted.
Every student starts with a relaxed phone call so we understand what is going on at school, then we match them with the right tutor. Juniors can begin with a full numeracy and literacy assessment so lessons target the real gaps from day one.
How online lessons work
- One-on-one, live with your child's own matched tutor
- Same tutor, same day and time, every week
- Built around their school programme, from Year 1 to NCEA Level 3 and adult learning
- Plain-English progress updates for parents
What it costs
One-hour weekly lessons, online 1:1: from $58 for juniors through to $70 for adult learners. A full junior assessment is $249. No lock-in contracts, ever.
No Hub in Gore yet. Maybe that is you.
Impact Hubs are locally owned by people who know their community and their schools. Gore is exactly the kind of place we would love to see one. If you are an educator who has thought about running your own tutoring business, we should talk.
Gore tutoring questions, answered
Is there a tutoring centre in Gore?
No. Gore students learn with Impact online, one-on-one with the same tutor every week. Nobody drives to Invercargill.
Do you work with rural families?
All the time. Lessons run over a standard video call, most rural broadband handles it comfortably, and the weekly time is set around milking, sport and bus schedules, not the other way round.
Do you run maths classes in Gore?
One-on-one maths lessons online rather than classes. If you have been searching for maths classes in Gore, this is the individual version.
What does it cost?
One-hour weekly lessons from $58 (junior) to $70 (adult), online 1:1. A junior assessment is $249. No lock-in contracts.
