 Anna’s journey into business ownership

 Meet Anna Barry, Impact Tutoring’s very first franchisee, owning the ‘Far North Hub’ (Kerikeri). When Anna transitioned from an academic role to business owner, she hoped it would mean she would have the ability to see a tangible difference in her students – and spend more time with her own young family.

 Anna loves to make mathematics not just understandable, but enjoyable.Through her unique approach, Anna has inspired students to tackle their fears and, in turn, discover their love for learning.

 Anna often shares tales about students who walk in hesitant but leave invigorated and recharged. One such success involved a shy student scaling the heights of Year 10 maths, achieving merit in her NCEA Level 2 exams, and is now pursuing a degree in sports science. For Anna, it’s about celebrating the little wins as much as it’s about seeing the bigger picture, which is to see kids in the far north gain confidence in their numeracy and literacy, so they have a solid foundation for life.
